Mr. Thiankolu was awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship by the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development in 2008.
He will be graduating with a masters degree (LLM) in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick in January 2010. Mr. Thiankolu graduated with a degree in law (LLB, second Class Honours, Upper Division) from the University of Nairobi in 2005. He received a Diploma in Legal Education from the Kenya School of Law in 2007.
Mr. Thiankolu was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 2007. His interests span across various branches of public, private, municipal and international law.
He is particularly very conversant with and enthusiastic about public procurement regulation, global economic regulation, international investment disputes, transnational corporations, antitrust regulation, judicial review and electoral disputes.
Mr. Thiankolu is also interested in reading, writing (including professional, academic and literary writing) and traveling. |
